So, continuing this, for good or ill...

Day 2

In your own space, share a book/song/movie/tv show/fanwork/etc that changed your life. Something that impacted on your consciousness in a way that left its mark on your soul. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

From a creative point of view, it would *have* to be The Mighty Boosh, which was a British TV cult-comedy show running from about 2004 to about 2008, plus two mammothly popular live shows. Music, colour, weirdness, hilarity, pathos, amazing characters - it opened my brain to a whole new way of seeing things. And it was through this show that I was introduced to the concept of fandom, and to fanfic (slash, too!), and to the lovely community of people that I now know online, plus two of my closest friends.

Day 03

In your own space, set some goals for the coming year. They can be fannish or not, public or private. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

I would like to complete Big Bang stories for both The Sentinel and The Professionals this year. I have to make the time to write. I also want to get back into writing for the Sentinel Thursday prompt comm.

But most of all, I want to get going on a fairly daunting (in terms of scale) TS story which has been gestating like a baby elephant for some time now, and really needs to be written. It's not a Big Bang offering - it will stand on its own.

1. I've never heard of The Mighty Boosh. But hearing about it, I wish I did see it. I wonder if Netflix carries it. Sounds like so much fun. And I'm glad you met all the friends you did because of it. I know that I'm grateful for all my fannish friends. :) Especially you.

2. Oh goody, you might do a story for the Big Bang Sentinel this year. Woo Hoo. I can't wait to see what you're working on and remember if you need a cheerleader, I'm your gal. :)

I used to love the series Are You Being Served. I think that's what it was called and was heartbroken when the one guy died. It always made me laugh and smile. Then there was one with Hyacinth in it and that made me laugh too. Monty Python made me laugh sometimes, but not all the times. There is a series about a man that is a mid-wife at the hospital and it was cute too. I like shows from BBC.

Your goal for two Big Bangs is also my goal, and for obvious reasons I approve of the Sentinel Thursday goal. ;-)

A lot of people seem to be suffering with winter lurgy, don't they. Good luck with kick-starting the imagination. :-)

I'll keep my eye for The Mighty Boosh. Never heard of it here on this side of the ocean.

And good luck with your goals!
