It also reminded me of a weird photo I took of myself, styled as Blair a long time ago - which I just dug out of a cupboard. I'll have to bring it to show you when we meet up in a couple of weeks... :o)

That's actually quite uncanny. Have you noticed though how some people have faces that don't quite fit their own time? And similarly how many period dramas never look quite right because the faces aren't right - Elizabeth from the BBC's Poldark has such a modern face and body that even though her clothing was correct, she was totally unconvincing, to me at least *g*

Indeed, and it works the other way around, too, doesn't it? I've often been struck, while walking round the Nat Portrait Gallery, say, that some of the early faces are not of their time, either. :))
