New year, new postings?
Jan. 3rd, 2018 08:40 amI haven't used DW for ages. Actually, for most of 2017 I was hardly using LJ. Things just didn't lend themselves to fandom.
Anyway, what with starting writing again for The Sentinel Secret Santa on LJ (Yay for TSSS!), and also something for the Pros Xmas challenge (yet to be posted) I thought I should renew my DW account subscription and actually *use* the darn thing.
So here is something that a friend has just sent me. Posters from the ISS - lovely to see how they develop over the years, no longer just bold and bright, but witty and knowing as well!
How many fandoms or cultural rferences can you spot?!
Bless them all, up there in space.

Date: 2018-01-04 06:49 pm (UTC)Heh, thanks for the link, I enjoyed looking through the posters, they're very cleverly done! I had no idea NASA spent time being so creative for purely recreational purposes!

Date: 2018-01-06 05:24 pm (UTC)I first must break out the (absolutely best-money-can-buy) champagne for you feeling like writing again (and life letting you write, too :-)). I admit I suspected your deft and brilliant (which I use in both the British and American contexts) hand in your exchange fic and The Anarchist Santas (which I hope to be finishing reading this weekend as I start - I HOPE - on catching up on the Extravaganza fics and other goodies).
Also, yay for just being here (or there, LJ you silly goose) more often! I do intend and want to be myself and I will be so happy to see you and talk with you more often.
A second also for the road: NASA has a sense of humor? Who knew? (I think even more than the sci-fy tributes I love the Sunglasses one and the nod to the Beatles. )

Date: 2018-01-07 08:39 am (UTC)Thank you for your *very* kind words on the writing. May I say how much I *loved* your "Secrets" series! Such lovely 'voices' in that - quite perfect! :)
Secret Santa, whilst it is always wonderful, was particularly so this year, I think. What a lovely comm :))
See you later, alligator! ;)
