Some here may already know that one of my great loves is (are?) Manic Street Preachers. And this year is the 20th anniversary of an album that means so much to me - "Everything Must Go".
Cue my first ever trip to Swansea (Hello, Mead! Hello, Mead's beach!) and a madcap night at the football stadium. Eyeliner, leopard print, camouflage, magnificent music, ridiculous banter, fireworks, and thunder and lightning - though that bit wasn't planned by management. Celebrating an album about coming from away a place of despair and sadness and into a new life, a new start; it was life-affirming to a ridiculous degree.

It sounds like a wonderful, life-affirming experience. I love when music continues to go through life with you, getting better and more meaningful as the years pass. ♥
