I had an overwhelming urge to write this, the moment I saw a certain paragraph in the Guardian obit for dear Leonard Cohen.

I hope it offends no one by involving him with TS. I hope it doesn't offend him either!

Thank you, Leonard. For everything.

I'm not familiar with this artist but I really enjoyed the story. I saw your notes on A03 and think he was a good mix to go with the spiritualism of TS. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for commenting! Leonard Cohen often gets pigeon-holed as "depressing" music, especially the early songs, but I first discovered what fun he could be with the album "I'm Your Man" in 1988 or 89. Witty, sly lyrics, as well as those of great beauty and poetry. He's worth exploration! :)

Try this for size. He was about 80 at this point and his voice is even deeper than usual, but the lyrics give you some sense of his capacity with words. :)

Thanks for the link. I must admit it's not really my genre of music as I lean more towards rock but it certainly draws you in and his voice makes you want to sit up and listen. It was a good song, I liked it.
